...EXTREME VESSEL ICING POSSIBLE FROM NORTH AND WEST OF NUNIVAK
ISLAND TO CAPE NEWENHAM SATURDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

Northeasterly winds in combination with Arctic Air could lead to
extreme vessel icing at rates of 4 cm per hour or greater.

As colder air filters in from the Arctic over the weekend, winds
will become gusty and northeasterly. These factors will cause
extreme freezing spray which will spread south and west from the
Kuskokwim Delta. Heavy to extreme freezing spray will extend from
Cape Newenham to north and west of Nunivak Island by Saturday. It
will likely last through Tuesday.

Operating a vessel in heavy to extreme freezing spray is
hazardous. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic
components inoperable. Rapid ice accretion on decks and
superstructures may result in catastrophic loss of stability.
