...HIGH WIND WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 60 mph
possible.
* WHERE...Ketchikan Gateway Borough and Annette Island.
* WHEN...From late tonight through Wednesday evening.
* IMPACTS...High winds could blow around unsecured objects,
damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be
difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong front will push into the southern
panhandle late Tuesday evening into Wednesday evening. The
strongest wind gusts to around 60 mph are possible between 9 am
to 3 pm Wednesday.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
People are urged to secure vessels and loose objects that could
be blown around or damaged by the wind.
