...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Up to 1 foot of inundation above ground level expected in
  low-lying areas near soundside shorelines and tidal waterways.

* WHERE...Soundside locations along the Croatan, and Roanoke
  Sounds, near Manteo, Kitty Hawk Bay, soundside areas along the
  Pamlico Sound from Hatteras Island north, and adjacent tidal
  creeks.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only
  isolated road closures expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong westerly winds of 25 to 35 mph will
  bring the threat of coastal flooding of up to 1 foot above
  ground level along soundside locations. Greatest impacts will
  likely be felt early this morning and this afternoon with the
  threat diminishing early this evening as the winds decrease.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
