* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and eastern New York, including
the following counties, in east central New York, Rensselaer,
Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren and Washington. In eastern New York,
Fulton and Montgomery.
* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are
inundated with water and may not be passable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 205 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area. This areal Flood Warning replaces the Flash
Flood Warning since rainfall rates have decreased, but many
impacts still remain with flooded roads and elevated stream
levels.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
