* WHAT...High temperatures 97 to 102 degrees expected in the valleys.

* WHERE...Northern Lander and Northern Eureka, Northern Elko, South
  Central Elko, Southwest Elko, and Humboldt Counties.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM PDT Friday.
  For the second Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, remain out
of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Hot conditions with high temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees.
  Overnight low temperatures of 50 to 60 degrees.

* WHERE...All areas from the Cascades eastward in Oregon, including
  Union Creek, Klamath Falls, Chiloquin, Crescent, Fort Rock, Bly
  and Lakeview. Also all of eastern Siskiyou County and Modoc County
  in Northeast California, including Dorris, Macdoel, Tulelake,
  Adin, Alturas and Likely.

* WHEN...From 1 PM Friday to 8 PM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Unusually hot temperatures will increase risk for heat
  related illnesses.

  overnight lows between 63 to 73 degrees. Widespread Moderate to
  Major HeatRisk.

* WHERE...Northern Washoe County and Western Nevada Basin and Range
  including the Black Rock Desert and Pyramid Lake.

* WHEN...From noon Friday to 9 AM PDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Heat-related illnesses will be more likely, especially
  for those spending extended periods outdoors, in poorly cooled
  indoor spaces, or who are sensitive to heat.
