* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 10 to 15 feet. Flooding of up to
one foot deep on vulnerable coastal roads and some debris on
roadways around high tide Friday morning and Friday evening.
* WHERE...Block Island RI.
* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT Saturday. For
the Coastal Flood Advisory, for high tides Friday morning and
Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Flooding up to one foot deep around high tide on
vulnerable roads, parking lots, and parks. Dangerous swimming
and surfing conditions. Significant beach and dune erosion.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth
during high tide. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-
prone property.
Many ocean beaches are closed. Stay out out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions. Only view surf at a safe distance, not
from jetties or piers.

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 15 to 20 feet on south coastal
beaches. Flooding of up to one foot deep on vulnerable coastal
roads around high tide late tonight and late Friday night.
* WHERE...Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket.
* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT Saturday. For
the Coastal Flood Advisory, for high tides late tonight and late
Friday night.
* IMPACTS...Roads remain passable. Low lying areas and roads near
Nantucket Harbor, including Easy Street, and Edgartown Harbor
may experience pockets of shallow flooding less than one foot
deep. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and significant
beach and dune erosion.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 10 to 15 feet. Flooding of up to
one foot deep on vulnerable coastal roads and some debris on
roadways around high tide Friday morning and Friday evening.
* WHERE...Massachusetts and Rhode Island South Coast.
* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT Saturday. For
the Coastal Flood Advisory, for high tides Friday morning and
Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Flooding up to one foot deep occurs along the most
vulnerable shoreline locales in Newport, Portsmouth and
Middletown. This includes flooding at parking lots near beaches
in Newport, and a portion of Hazard Road. Shallow flooding also
occurs on several streets in the Common Fence Point area.
Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and significant beach
erosion.

THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 10 to 15 feet on ocean beaches.
Some splashover on vulnerable coastal roads around high tide
tonight through Friday night.
* WHERE...Eastern Massachusetts coast.
* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 PM EDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Some water on low lying roads and property around high
tide. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and significant
beach erosion.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Many ocean beaches are closed. Stay out out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions. Only view surf at a safe distance, not
from near the shore, or from jetties or piers.
Avoid any flooded roads during high tide.

* WHAT...For the High Rip Current Risk, a high risk of dangerous
rip currents. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves
of 6 to 10 feet and a high risk of dangerous rip currents. For
the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding and splash-
over.
* WHERE...In Maine, Coastal York, Coastal Cumberland, Sagadahoc,
Lincoln and Knox Counties. In New Hampshire, Coastal
Rockingham County.
* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, until 8 PM EDT this
evening. For the High Surf Advisory, from 6 AM Friday to 8 PM
EDT Saturday. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 10 PM
Friday to 1 AM EDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only
isolated road closures expected. Dangerous swimming and
surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents
can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper
water.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
Large waves can present a danger to people on rocks above the
water. Stay away from rock outcrops along the shoreline exposed
to ocean waves...as waves can easily sweep people into the cold
ocean water.
