...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL FAIRFIELD AND WESTERN NEW
HAVEN COUNTIES THROUGH 1215 PM EDT...

At 1136 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Brookfield to near
Wilton. Movement was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Bridgeport, New Haven, Waterbury, Norwalk, Milford, Shelton,
Naugatuck, Southbury, New Canaan, Wolcott, Newtown, Fairfield,
Hamden, Stratford, and Trumbull.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

At 1121 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Danbury, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
New Milford, Terryville, Woodbury Center, Oakville, Watertown,
Plymouth, Woodbury, Roxbury, Bridgewater, Candlewood Springs,
Hotchkissville, Pequabuck, Reynolds Bridge, Hancock, River Road
Reserve, Pomeraug, Candlewood Trails, Gulls Hollow, Plymouth Green,
and Birch Groves.
