...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has issued an
Air Quality Alert for ozone and particle pollution from 11 AM this
morning to 11 PM EDT this evening.

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services is predicting
unhealthy air quality for sensitive individuals in Rockingham County
on Sunday June 26. Sensitive individuals include children and older
adults; anyone with lung disease such as asthma, emphysema, or
bronchitis and people who are active outdoors. Even non-sensitive
individuals may experience mild health effects and may want to
consider limiting outdoor strenuous or prolonged outdoor activities.

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services is predicting
unhealthy air quality in the above-mentioned counties. Sensitive
individuals include children and older adults; anyone with lung
disease such as asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis; and people who
are active outdoors. Even healthy individuals may experience mild
health effects and should consider limiting strenuous or prolonged
outdoor activities.

western Massachusetts, east central New York, eastern New York and
southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Isolated to scattered non severe thunderstorms are possible tonight
ahead of a cold front. Some locally heavy downpours are possible with
the thunderstorms which may cause ponding of water on roadways and
poor drainage flooding of low lying areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible Monday morning into
the early afternoon from the Capital District south and east across
western New England. Some locally heavy downpours are possible with
the thunderstorms which may cause ponding of water on roadways and
poor drainage flooding of low lying areas.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern New York, central
Vermont, northeast Vermont, northwest Vermont and southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Temperatures and heat index values in valley locations will be in the
low 90s for most of the afternoon hours. Those with outdoor plans
should limit time in the sun, avoid strenuous activities, and drink
plenty of water.

Also, a cold front will bring late day thunderstorms to the St.
Lawrence Valley, and a continued chance for thunderstorms Sunday
night across the remainder of northern New York and Vermont. Brief
heavy rainfall is possible with the stronger storms.
