...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 1 to 3
  inches in the most persistent lake snows. Greatest accumulations
  will be on the Tug Hill Plateau  and through Jefferson County.

* WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the Wednesday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will change over to plain rain at the
  lower elevations late this morning and through the afternoon.
  Minor additional accumulations expected across the Tug Hill and
  Western Adirondacks through tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling,
be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.

Submit snow reports through our website or social media.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just
a few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern New York, central
Vermont, northeast Vermont, northwest Vermont and southern Vermont.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Snow showers will resume today. Warmer temperatures will allow some
rain to mix in across lower elevations. Hourly temperatures will be
slow to cool back below freezing for areas that do rise above
freezing. The potential for hazardous travel is not as high as
yesterday, but still use plenty of caution and allow extra time going
between destinations.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Probabilistic data suggests freezing rain is possible in parts of
the Adirondacks and eastern Vermont Sunday morning. We will continue
to monitor trends. Stay tuned for updates.
