Frio River Below Dry Frio affecting Uvalde County.
Frio River At Concan affecting Uvalde County.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Frio River at Concan.
* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Major flooding increases very quickly to
several feet deep over the Frio River banks of recreation camps
near Rio Frio to near Concan. Sleeping campers, autos and
recreational vehicles can be washed downstream. This is a life
threatening level.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 11.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Monday was 12.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 15.2 feet just after
midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late
tonight to 6.0 feet tomorrow afternoon and remain below flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.4 feet on 10/08/2018.

* WHERE...Frio River below Dry Frio.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Major flooding of crop and pastureland,
traps livestock and can drown them. Secondary and primary roads
and low bridges are flooded and dangerous.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 11.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.5
feet late tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late
tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
16.9 feet on 09/16/1991.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding reaches the
Highway 39 bridge floor two miles east of Hunt preventing easy
travel to western parts of the county. Areas of the headwaters are
isolated temporarily as low water crossings flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:05 PM CDT Monday the stage was 12.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:05 PM CDT Monday was 13.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, or 2.1 meters, overbank conditions occur.
At 8.0 feet, or 2.4 meters, minor lowland flooding occurs. Flow
reaches the lower sections of the customs parking lot in Laredo.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 1.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is forecast to rise into minor flood
stage early Wednesday morning before falling under minor
flood stage early Thursday morning.

Williamson.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
