...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 1 PM
EST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to
  5 inches possible.

* WHERE...Elk and McKean Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 1 PM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning
  commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be flurries and light snow during
  the day today with accumulations up to an inch possible by sunset.
  However, the majority of snowfall is expected to fall between
  Monday night and late Tuesday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.

TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6
  inches through Tuesday morning. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...In Maryland, Western Garrett County. In West Virginia,
  Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.

* WHEN...Until midnight EST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions and reduced
  visibilities. The hazardous conditions could impact this morning
  and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow showers will continue on and off through
  tonight before gradually winding down Tuesday morning. While snow
  showers will be possible over that prolonged period, locally heavy
  bursts of snow may be possible later this afternoon and evening,
  with the greatest impacts expected during that time.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will
  impact the Monday and Tuesday morning commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling,
be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.

  conditions will impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning
  commutes.
