COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER.
...AVALANCHE WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH 5 PM SATURDAY...
*WHAT...Very dangerous avalanche conditions. The Avalanche Danger is
HIGH (Level 4 of 5) through Saturday
*WHERE...Park Range and the Gore Range
*WHEN...Expect very dangerous avalanche conditions through Saturday
at 5 PM.
*IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds are creating very dangerous
avalanche conditions. Large and dangerous avalanches are easy to
trigger. Large avalanches will release naturally from wind-loaded
slopes.
*PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Travel in backcountry avalanche
terrain is not recommended through Saturday. Avoid travel on and
under slopes with a slope angle steeper than about 30 degrees. You
