...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO
5 AM MST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and
  2 feet. Higher amounts possible above 10000 feet. Winds gusting as
  high as 65 mph will lead to blowing snow and reduced visibility.

* WHERE...Sierra Madre Range and Snowy Range.

* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 5 AM MST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Outdoor recreation could become life threatening to
  those caught unprepared for severe winter conditions. Hikers and
  snowmobilers may easily become disoriented. Frostbite and
  hypothermia can develop quickly. Widespread blowing snow could
  significantly reduce visibility and lead to dangerous travel
  conditions. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Very
  strong winds could cause tree damage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for

MST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow accumulations between
  4 and 8 inches expected. For the Winter Storm Warning, snow
  accumulations between 10 and 20 inches with winds gusting as high
  as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Elkhead and Park Mountains.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 11 PM this evening to
  5 PM MST Friday. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 5 PM Friday to
  11 PM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult to impossible at times,
  especially Friday night into Saturday morning. Gusty winds could
  bring down tree branches. Roads, and especially bridges and
  overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by
calling 5 1 1.

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.

  accumulations between 7 and 14 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55
  mph.

* WHERE...Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range,
  and The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the
  Indian Peaks.

* WHEN...From 11 PM Friday to 11 PM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and road closures are
  possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

It is strongly recommended to alter travel plans in the northern
Colorado mountains Friday night through Saturday night. Travel may
become very difficult to impossible. Monitor the latest forecasts for
updates on this winter storm.
