...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...North-northwest winds sustained 30 to 40 mph, with gusts as
high as 50 to 60 MPH.
* WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and central, east
central, and south central Nebraska.
* WHEN...Until noon CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on
east-west oriented roads, and particularly where roads are slick
from earlier snowfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Although still plenty strong, wind speeds
will very gradually and slowly diminish with time through
Wednesday morning. Gusts should decrease to between 40 and 50 MPH
by 6 AM, and to between 35 and 45 MPH by 10 AM. This gradual
decreasing trend will continue on through Wednesday afternoon.
