Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FOR THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Maple Creek near Nickerson.
* WHEN...For this evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water will begin to overflow Nickerson Road
just north of Nickerson. In addition, water begins to overflow in
between two bridges located 0.5 mile and 0.75 mile north of the
main channel.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 11.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage to 11.9 feet
this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late this
evening to 6.4 feet early Sunday morning. It will rise to 6.8
feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall again and remain
below flood stage.
- Flood stage is 11.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.9
feet on 05/05/2003.

Iowa River at Wapello affecting Louisa County.
English River at Kalona affecting Washington and Johnson Counties.
.Based on recent flow data and updated forecast rainfall, the
probability of the the lower Iowa River at Wapello and Oakville, and
the English River at Kalona reaching flood stage has increased enough
to issue flood warnings. Depending upon the overall amount of
rainfall, the crest forecasts may end up being a bit lower.

roads. Agricultural land near the river is flooding.

- At 3:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
tonight to a crest of 16.9 feet tomorrow evening. It will then
fall below flood stage Monday morning.

Highway 61 bridge.

- At 3:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 18.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late tomorrow
morning to 23.1 feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall
below flood stage late Monday morning to 20.7 feet Monday
evening. It will rise to 20.8 feet early Tuesday afternoon. It
will then fall again and remain below flood stage.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
