...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM FRIDAY TO 10 AM PST
SATURDAY ABOVE 4500 FEET...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 4500 feet. Total snow
accumulations of 2 to 8 inches. Areas of blowing snow and winds
gusting as high as 45 mph over exposed terrain.
* WHERE...Northern sections of Klamath County and Western Lake
County around and above 4500 feet. This includes sections of
highway 97 around Crescent, Chemult and highway 138 leading
into the Cascades.
* WHEN...From 4 AM Friday to 10 AM PST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult driving conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This area has historically poor travel
conditions during Cascade snow storms.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
* Travel is strongly discouraged because of dangerous
conditions. Do not detour during winter storms.

imminent and poses a threat to life and property. Take

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory above 3500 feet, additional
snow accumulations of up to 6 inches. For the Winter Storm
Warning above 4000 feet, heavy snow expected. Total snow
accumulations of up to 13 inches over higher terrain. Winds
gusting as high as 35 mph over exposed terrain.
* WHERE...For the winter weather advisory, elevations above 3500
feet in the eastern Douglas County Foothills. For the winter
storm warning, elevations above 4000 feet in the same location.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 4 AM PST Friday.
For the Winter Storm Warning, from 4 AM Friday to 4 AM PST
Saturday.

heavy snow expected with pockets of blowing snow. Total snow
accumulations of 7 to 30 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph
over exposed terrain.
* WHERE...For the Winter Weather Advisory, elevations above 4000
feet in the South Central Oregon Cascades and Southern Oregon
Cascades. For the Winter Storm Warning, elevations above 4500
feet in the same area. This includes Diamond Lake Junction,
Willamette Pass, Crater Lake and highways 52, 230, 62 and 138
in the high Cascades.
* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 4 AM PST Friday.
For the Winter Storm Warning, from 4 AM Friday to 10 PM PST
Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will accumulate down to 3500 feet in
the Cascades before snow levels gradually rise into Saturday.
Snow accumulations will be lower to the south near Lake of the
Woods and higher farther to the north. 3 to 6 inches are
expected in the Siskiyou Mountains.
