...DUST STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM MST FOR
SOUTHWESTERN COCHISE, EAST CENTRAL PIMA AND SANTA CRUZ COUNTIES...

At 646 PM MST, an area of blowing dust was located 6 miles southeast
of Elgin, moving west at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with strong winds in
excess of 50 mph.

SOURCE...Trained spotter reported 57 MPH wind gust in Elgin at
6:40 PM MST.

IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

Locations impacted include...
Sierra Vista, Nogales, Rio Rico, Hereford, Whetstone, Huachuca
City, Patagonia, Sonoita, Elgin, Parker Canyon Lake, Fort
Huachuca, Patagonia Lake State Park, Nogales International
Airport, Kino Springs, Canelo, Lochiel, Ramsey Canyon Preserve,
Madera Canyon and Coronado National Memorial.

This includes the following highways...
Route 90 between mile markers 305 and 322.
Route 92 between mile markers 322 and 337.
Route 82 between mile markers 1 and 53.
Route 83 between mile markers 3 and 42.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not drive into a dust storm. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE!

Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.

* Until 715 PM MST.

* At 548 PM MST, an area of blowing dust was located over Sierra
Vista, moving southwest at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility.

IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

Sierra Vista, Bisbee, Benson, Hereford, Whetstone, Huachuca City,
St. David, Tombstone, Naco, Dragoon, Kartchner Caverns State Park,
Fort Huachuca, Parker Canyon Lake, Palominas, Mescal, McNeal,
Fairbank, Charleston, Ramsey Canyon Preserve and Texas Canyon.

This includes the following highways...
Route 90 between mile markers 290 and 336.
Route 80 between mile markers 293 and 359.
Route 191 between mile markers 13 and 21.
Route 92 between mile markers 322 and 355.
Interstate 10 between mile markers 297 and 329.
Route 82 between mile markers 46 and 67.
