...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING FOR
SOUTHWESTERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL ALABAMA...

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM CST this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 051, 052, 053, 054, 055,
  056, 057, 058, 059, 060, 261, 262, 263, 264, 265 and 266.

* WINDS...Northwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 23 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread
  quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

COUNTIES NEAR AND SOUTH OF THE HIGHWAY 80 CORRIDOR...

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 6 PM CST.

* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts near 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.

* IMPACTS...The combination of a dry air mass, dry fuels, and
  windy conditions will result in critical fire weather
  conditions. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
