CENTRAL MINNESOTA...

...STRONG WINDS AND ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY FOR
NORTHEAST MINNESOTA...
Strong southerly winds around 15 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph
are expected today. Occasional localized gusts up to 45 mph are
possible. Winds will turn westerly behind a cold front from west
to east this afternoon. These strong winds may blow around any
loose light objects. If you`re driving a high profile vehicle, be
sure to slow down, especially in open and elevated areas where
winds may be stronger.
The strong winds will combine with minimum relative humidity down
to 40 percent to create elevated fire weather conditions through
this afternoon. These conditions could lead to the rapid spread
of fires. Check burning restrictions and fire danger before
burning.
