...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM MST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southwestern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 1045 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 750 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.6 and 1
inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sierra Vista, Hereford, Fort Huachuca, Charleston and Ramsey
Canyon Preserve.
- This includes the following highways...
Route 90 between mile markers 318 and 329. Route 92 between mile
markers 322 and 331.
This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Monson Rd from HWY 90 and Hereford Rd.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
