* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Lampasas County.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - The threat of flash flooding has ended, however, it will take
    several hours for all the water to work through drainage
    systems.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Copperas Cove, Lampasas, Kempner, Colorado Bend State Park,
    Lometa, Adamsville, Nix, Rumley, Izoro and Moline.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Lampasas River near Kempner.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...At 33.0 feet, Major out of bank flooding can be
  expected. The US-190 bridge should not flood, however the Rocky
  River RV Resort and CR 4530 should flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 32.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river rise has slowed and is expected to crest
    around 33.2 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below
    flood stage late this evening.

...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall in the Lampasas River
  headwaters.

* WHERE...Bell County along and near the Lampasas River upstream of
  Stillhouse Hollow Lake.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of the Lampasas River as well as smaller
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations
  near the river. The river is expected to rise over the course of
  the day as runoff moves down the river and into the Stillhouse
  Hollow Lake. Low-water crossings may be impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated very heavy
    had fallen in the headwaters of the Lampasas River early this
    morning. River gauges in Kempner and Ding Dong are indicating
    that flooding in other portions of the river are likely to
    occur.

  - The river within most of Bell County has swift moving water,
    but has not risen yet. Expect the river to rise over the next
    several hours before falling later today.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Harker Heights, Stillhouse Hollow Lake, Ding Dong, Maxdale
    and Youngsport.

  - At 1130 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
    Flooding is already occurring in the warned area.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Brady, Junction, Mason, Saline, Long Mountain, London, Hext,
    Streeter, Yates Crossing, Grit, Calf Creek, Camp Air,

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.

  - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this
    morning to 25.5 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below
    flood stage late this afternoon to 8.0 feet this evening. It
    will rise to 15.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will
    then fall again and remain below flood stage.

  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    25.2 feet on 10/06/1930.
  -
    Although there is not an official forecast for the North
    Llano River, it is rising quickly as well and will crest near
    26 feet. Residents along the North Llano River should be
    alert for rising floodwaters.
