  Black Vermillion River near Frankfort affecting Marshall County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Black Vermillion River near Frankfort.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Minor flooding of lowland areas occurs
  along the river from Vermillion to the mouth of the Black
  Vermillion River.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 21.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.7
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
    this evening.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Kansas, including the following
  counties, Marshall and Nemaha.

* WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from
  earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 510 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding across
    highway 63 to the north of Seneca, with water covering the
    road.  Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
    the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sabetha, Seneca, Frankfort, Centralia, Axtell, Bern, Corning,
    Goff, Vermillion, Oneida, Baileyville, Lillis and Woodlawn.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
