The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
The Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar in...
Southwestern Pueblo County in southeastern Colorado...
* Until 845 PM MDT.
* At 546 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over the Southern
Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. The
expected rainfall rate is 0.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall
amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is already occurring. Excessive rainfall over the burn
scar will result in debris flow moving through the Middle St.
Charles, Muddy Creek and Upper Greenhorn Creek. The debris flow can
consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
flash flooding in and around the Southern Aspen Acres Burn
Scar.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the
Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Stream crossings and county roads within and immediately downstream
of the burn scar.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
This is a life-threatening situation for in and around the southern
Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Move away and to higher ground immediately.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE MIDDLE ASPEN ACRES BURN SCAR REMAINS
IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR EAST CENTRAL CUSTER AND
WEST CENTRAL PUEBLO COUNTIES...
At 501 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over the Middle
Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. The expected
rainfall rate is 0.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up
to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar
will result in debris flow moving through the North Creek, Middle
Creek and Squirrel Creek. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud,
vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash
flooding in and around the Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar.

Beulah and San Isabel.
This includes the following high risk locations...
Beulah Water Intake, Northcreek Road county line to Red Mountain Camp
and Northcreek Road from Red Mountain Camp to Beulah.
