This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
A few thunderstorms will be possible this morning and through the
afternoon for the far southeast plains. There is low confidence of a
storm or two becoming severe this afternoon. If this does occur,
there could be gusty outflow winds up to 60 mph and hail up to an
inch in diameter, or possible greater. The area where this would
most likely occur would be the very southeastern corner of Baca
County.
For tonight, snow will begin across the southwestern mountains, with
an inch or two possible for the eastern San Juan Mountains by
daybreak.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday
Snow will spread across the Continental Divide on Sunday,
then spread eastward into the Palmer Divide, south into the Raton
Mesa. Snow levels look to remain above 5500 feet. The highest
snow amounts are expected over the Mountains, and across the Raton
Mesa. For areas from Monument Hill, south into Colorado Springs, a
couple of inches of snow will likely produce slippery road
conditions for the Monday morning commute.
Another storm system will move across the region from Thursday
into Friday. There are still uncertainty with the storm track and
speed, which could play a role in how much rain and snow southern
Colorado receives.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.

155 AM MDT Sat Nov 2 2024
This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central
Colorado.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
No hazardous weather is expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday
Sunday night through Friday will be active with multiple systems
bringing snow and cold air. Sunday night into Monday morning,
moderate snow amounts will fall across the higher terrain as well
as the Palmer Divide. This will impact travel conditions,
especially during the Monday morning commute, as roads will be
snow-covered and icy. 1-3" of snow is expected across the Denver
metro with higher amounts on the south side of Denver. This may
have an impact on the Monday morning commute although it will be
a more limited impact than the higher terrain.
A strong storm will likely arrive late Wednesday and into
Thursday. This system will bring moderate to heavy snow to the
higher terrain. There is more uncertainty with regards to snow
across the plains but the possibility remains for heavy snow to
fall during this period. The most likely outcome is a widespread
light snow event with about a 20 percent chance that it turns into
a snowstorm with heavy snow and major impacts. If the bigger
snowstorm verifies, snow would occur on Friday and Saturday as
well.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be needed.
