...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN GOGEBIC AND WEST
CENTRAL ONTONAGON COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM EDT/700 PM CDT/...

At 721 PM EDT/621 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Hurley, or near Ironwood, moving northeast at 30
mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Porcupine Mountains State Park, Ironwood, Bessemer, Wakefield,
Hurley, Northern Lake Gogebic, Thomaston, Clark Lake, Ironwood
Airport, Mirror Lake, Copper Peak, and Merriweather.

People attending Blasting at Copper Peak  should seek safe shelter
immediately!

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT/1000
PM CDT/ for western Upper Michigan.
