...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CHST THURSDAY...
...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 9 to 12 feet and dangerous rip
  currents.

* WHERE...West and north facing reefs of the Marianas.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM ChST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An incoming northerly swell is starting to
affect the Marianas, building surf along west and north facing.
Surf is expected to peak around to 12 feet especially along north
facing reefs tonight. Could see a high risk of rip currents develop
along east facing reefs Wednesday as the swell wraps around the
  island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers
should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the
current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If
unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
