High Surf Advisory

Coastal Hazard Message
National Weather Service Honolulu HI
317 AM HST Wed Nov 5 2025

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST THURSDAY FOR
EXPOSED NORTH AND WEST FACING SHORES...
...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING DURING HIGH TIDE THIS WEEK FOR LOW LYING
COASTAL AREAS OF ALL ISLANDS...

.A large north-northwest medium period swell will build into the
Hawaiian Islands through Thursday increasing surf heights above
advisory thresholds along exposed north and west facing shores of
Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, including north facing shores of
Maui and the Big Island. Surf heights will likely fall below
advisory thresholds by Thursday night as the swell energy
decreases.

Peak monthly high tides combined with water levels that are
running higher than predicted will lead to minor flooding along
the shoreline and in low-lying coastal areas. Coastal flooding is
possible around the daily peak tide, which will be during the
early morning hours.
