very cold temperatures to continue, especially each night and
morning. There remains a small chance for snow, mainly along and
south of I-85 but snow totals will remain very light, if any.

A prolonged period of dangerously cold conditions will last through
mid week, with daytime highs only in the upper 20s to mid 30s and
lows in the teens. Factoring in the wind, it will feel like single
digits above zero Tuesday night.

While uncertainty remains, a period of light snow Tuesday evening
into the early overnight hours may result in a dusting to a light
accumulation of snow over much of the southern and eastern Piedmont
into the northern Coastal Plain. Any accumulation, however light, may
result in slick and hazardous travel conditions due to the very cold
air and cold ground temperatures.

snow accumulation over the southern Sandhills and portions of the
central and southern Coastal Plain. Any accumulation may result in
slick and hazardous travel conditions due to the very cold air and
cold ground temperatures.
