This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern Indiana, southwest
Michigan and northwest Ohio.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon. There is a low
probability for isolated severe weather this afternoon.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected tonight. Storms may
be severe this evening and overnight. Large hail 1 to 2 inches in
diameter, damaging wind gusts to 60 mph, and isolated tornadoes are
the main hazards. Confidence is Medium in severe weather occurring
tonight, but Low Confidence south of US Route 24.

Locally heavy rainfall is also possible into early Wednesday that
could lead to some renewed flooding concerns.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

There are chances of thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday, and then
again Friday night and Saturday. Isolated severe storms are possible
Wednesday and Thursday.

Additional thunderstorms are expected tonight that may produce hail
and wind gusts in excess of 40 knots.

Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 3 of 5 Tornado Risk.
     Level 3 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to Tennis Ball size.
     Level 2 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 70 mph.
     Level 1 of 4 Flash Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Non-severe thunderstorms will continue to drift from west to east
across the area this morning, with primary hazards being small
hail and lightning.

Severe thunderstorms are then possible this afternoon through the
evening and overnight hours.

If thunderstorms develop during the afternoon into early evening,
they will be capable of destructive hail, damaging winds, and
tornadoes, some potentially strong in far northern Illinois.

Any thunderstorms that develop from mid evening through the
overnight hours will be capable of damaging winds, hail, and
embedded brief tornadoes. Multiple rounds of storms over the same
areas overnight may also lead to flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
     Level 1 of 4 Flash Flood Risk.

thunderstorm chances increasing tonight. Storms may be strong to
severe, best chance this evening and tonight. Damaging wind gusts
will be the main threat, but large hail and a few tornadoes cannot be
ruled out, primarily across northwestern Ohio. Storms may also
produce locally heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Additional showers and thunderstorms are likely Wednesday and
Thursday. A few storms may be strong to severe on Wednesday afternoon
and evening and again on Thursday with damaging wind gusts being the
main threat, although large hail and a few tornadoes cannot be ruled
out on Wednesday. Repeated rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall may
result in flooding Wednesday into Thursday.
