...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following
  counties, Harlan and Letcher.

* WHEN...Until 1130 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 843 PM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain
    leading to minor flooding in the advisory area near Cowan
    Elementary School. Minor flooding is ongoing. Up to 2 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Whitesburg, Cumberland, Kings Creek, Flint, Oscaloosa,
    Trailer, Linefork, Lewis Creek, Ice, Skyline, Dongola,
    Defeated Creek, Whitco, Blair, Gordon, Ermine and Colly.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Claiborne, Grainger and Hancock.

* WHEN...Until 945 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 748 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Tazewell, Howard Quarter and Thorn Hill.
