This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.
.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...
Fire danger will improve through the evening hours as winds relax and
temperatures cool.
Fog is possible overnight tonight , mainly northeast of a Trenton to
Hill city line. Visibility under a half of a mile is expected, use
caution if traveling in fog tonight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...
A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect for portions of the area
Tuesday. Dangerous and unpredictable fire behavior is possible as
any fires that develop would grow and spread out of control.
Critical fire weather conditions are forecast to continue Wednesday.
A High Wind Watch remains in effect Tuesday as there is a risk for
damaging wind gusts to 65 mph and blowing dust across portions of
the area. Travel may become hazardous due to near brownout conditions
and strong cross winds. While near brownout conditions are expected
to be somewhat spotty, reduced air quality will be more widespread
across the area. Those sensitive to reduced air quality may want to
make plans to address this Tuesday.
Critical fire weather conditions may linger Wednesday for counties
along the Kansas-Colorado Border. Fires that develop may be
unpredictable, and could grow and spread out of control.
