The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Red
Flag Warning for strong winds and low relative humidity, which is
in effect from noon CDT /11 AM MDT/ to 10 PM CDT /9 PM MDT/
Thursday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 204 Eastern
  Panhandle/Crescent Lake NWR, Fire Weather Zone 206
  Sandhills/Valentine NWR/Nebraska National Forest, Fire Weather
  Zone 208 Niobrara Valley/Fort Niobrara NWR/Samuel R McKelvie
  National Forest, Fire Weather Zone 209 Loup Rivers Basin, Fire

* TIMING...12 PM CDT/ 11 AM MDT to 10 PM CDT/ 9 PM MDT Thursday

* WINDS...West 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* TEMPERATURES...Up to 74.

* IMPACTS...Any fire starts will have a high potential to spread
  rapidly and will be difficult to control.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 240, 242, 243, 244, 245,
  248, 249, 250 and 251.

* TIMING...From 11 AM to 9 PM MDT Thursday.

* WINDS...West 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 13 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread.
