the coast to 103 inland.
* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Inland Central Coast, San Luis
Obispo County Interior Valleys, San Luis Obispo County Mountains,
Santa Barbara County Inland Central Coast, Santa Lucia Mountains,
Santa Ynez Valley, and Southern Salinas Valley.

* WHAT...High temperatures up to 104 degrees expected with the
warmest temperatures will be located in the southern San Joaquin
Valley. Overnight lows between 70 and 75 degrees expected in the
Sierra Foothills where the thermal belt is strongest.
* WHERE...San Joaquin Valley, Sierra Nevada foothills, and Coastal
West Hills.
* WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate to major risk of heat-related
illnesses for much of the population, especially those without
effective cooling or hydration.

* WHAT...Hot conditions with maximum temperatures in the low-80s to
low-90s. Mild minimum temperatures and weak onshore flow will limit
overnight relief.
* WHERE...Southern Monterey Bay and the Big Sur Coast, Coastal North
Bay Including Point Reyes National Seashore, and San Francisco
Peninsula Coast.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM PDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...This level of heat affects anyone without effective
cooling and/or adequate hydration. Impacts likely in some health
systems, heat-sensitive industries and infrastructure.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Hydration is a critical piece to surviving the heat. Drink water, and
if possible, take water to those who are vulnerable.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to the early
morning or evening. Take action when you experience symptoms of heat
exhaustion and/or heat stroke.
Beat the heat and check the backseat! Do not leave young children or
pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
