...AREAS OF DENSE FOG TO AFFECT THE COASTAL WATERS THROUGH AT
LEAST SATURDAY MORNING...

Mariners should be prepared for abrupt visibility changes down to
one nautical mile or less at any time, including the afternoon
hours. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for other vessels,
including large ships in the shipping lanes, buoys, exposed rocks
and other obstacles. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and
consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.

Coastal Waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican Border and out
to 10 nm-
Waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican Border Extending 10 to
60 nm out including San Clemente Island-

Areas of low clouds and fog present over the waters this afternoon
are locally lowing visibilities to 1 NM or less. These clouds/fog
will gradually become more uniform into this evening across the
waters, persisting into Saturday morning. Clouds begin to scatter
some and lift enough to improve visibilities over 1 NM by
10AM-12PM late Saturday morning.

Mariners should be prepared for abrupt changes in visibility.
Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks and other
vessels, including large ships in shipping lanes. Use radar or GPS
navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if such
equipment is unavailable.
