Warning for the following river in Missouri...

  Meramec River near Sullivan.

  Meramec River near Steelville.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Meramec River near Sullivan.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, At this height the entire Arapaho
  campground will be under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:29 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 8.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 16.4 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Near this height, roads to the Lucky
  Clover campgrounds begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 7.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this afternoon to a crest of 14.7 feet just after
    midnight tonight.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

THURSDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Grand River near Sumner.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning to late Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage
  begins to flood.
  At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is flooded.
  At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 24.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 27.2 feet tomorrow evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

For the Roubidoux Creek...including Waynesville...Minor flooding is
forecast.
For the Little Osage River...including Horton...Minor flooding is
forecast.
For the Marmaton River...including Nevada...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

  - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 7.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday was 9.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 2.3 feet
    Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
