* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 227, 228, 229, 230, 231,
  232 and 233.

* WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 11 percent.

* IMPACTS...Elevated fire danger is expected. Fires will catch
  and spread rapidly and erratically.

...RED FLAG WARNING FROM 11 AM UNTIL 5 PM MST TODAY FOR THE EAST
CENTRAL PLAINS EAST AND NORTHEAST OF DE BACA COUNTY DUE TO STRONG
WIND, LOW HUMIDITY, AND DRY FUELS...

.Westerly downslope winds will strengthen today and humidities
will plummet near and below 15 percent as a disturbance passes
north of New Mexico and a broad surface trough develops in the lee
of the southern Rockies. High temperatures will also climb up to
22 degrees above 1991-2020 averages, while Energy Release
Components (ERCs) peak from th 65th to 85th percentiles east and
northeast of De Baca County. De Baca and southern Roosevelt
Counties will observe higher humidities and more moderate ERCs,
but it will still be warm and windy.

  from 11 AM until 5 PM today.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts around 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...13-16 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended..
