URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 8
  inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Western Pendleton County.

* WHEN...Until noon EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Brief whiteout conditions are possible with visibilities
  dropping below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The
  strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines
  and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very
  difficult along US-33 near the Eastern Continental Divide. The
  hazardous conditions look to worsen during the overnight hours.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates around 0.5 to 1 inch per hour
  are possible at times through Thursday morning especially in
  embedded snow squalls. Wind chills of 15 to -5 are possible
  through Thursday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you
must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will
keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to
reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a
hat will keep you from losing your body heat.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

.A narrow band of snow is expected to affect portions of Forest and
Venango Counties in addition to gradual snow accumulations over the
next 24 hours in the higher terrain. Higher snow totals are expected
in eastern Tucker County overnight with occasional wind chills below
minus 10 in wind gusts up to 40mph.

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations
  between 4 to 8 inches with the highest totals in high terrain.
  Winds gusting as high as 40 mph resulting in wind chills as low as
  10 to 15 below zero Wednesday night and Thursday morning in the
  higher elevations.

* WHERE...Eastern Tucker County.

* WHEN...Until noon EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning
  commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Avoid
  prolonged exposure to the cold Thursday morning. Cold temperatures
  cold result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
