* WHAT...Along the coastal waters, north to northeast winds 30 to
35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and waves 12 to 18 ft. Across the
Chesapeake Bay, north to northeast winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts
up to 40 kt and waves 5 to 8 ft. For the Currituck sound, north
to northeast winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts to 40 kt and waves 2
to 4 ft.
* WHERE...Portions of Atlantic coastal waters, the lower
Chesapeake Bay, and the Currituck sound.
* WHEN...Tropical Storm force winds possible from Wednesday
evening until Thursday evening.
* IMPACTS...Tropical storm force winds and hazardous waves could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.

- LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Below tropical storm force wind
- Peak Wind Forecast: 20-30 mph with gusts to 45 mph
- THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY THAT INCLUDES TYPICAL FORECAST
UNCERTAINTY IN TRACK, SIZE AND INTENSITY: Potential for wind 39
to 57 mph
- The wind threat has remained nearly steady from the
previous assessment.
- PLAN: Plan for hazardous wind of equivalent tropical storm
force.
- PREPARE: Efforts to protect property should now be
underway. Prepare for limited wind damage.
- ACT: Act now to complete preparations before the wind
becomes hazardous.
- POTENTIAL IMPACTS: Limited
