...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of West Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Shelby and Tipton.

* WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1100 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Millington, Covington, Munford, Brighton, Dixonville, Tipton,
    Atoka, Mason, Gilt Edge, Burlison, Garland, Akins Corner,
    Egypt, Crosstown, Beaver, Idaville, Clopton, Redwood,
    Barretville and Rosemark.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1021 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 355.5 feet, the river remains in its banks, but
  access to Okane Island may be cut off.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 355.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 356.2
    feet early tomorrow afternoon and is then expected to
    fluctuate between 355.0 and 356.0 feet through Friday
    evening.
  - Action stage is 355.5 feet.
  - Flood stage is 357.0 feet.

  - At 8:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 40.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 30.8 feet Monday,
    July 28.
  - Action stage is 36.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
