...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT TODAY FOR
CENTRAL EDWARDS, NORTHWESTERN REAL AND EAST CENTRAL VAL VERDE
COUNTIES...

At 815 AM CDT, department of transportation and emergency management
reported flash flooding across the warned area, specifically along
portions of US Highway 377 and State Highway 55 in Edwards County.
Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash
         flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
         areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Rocksprings, Carta Valley, Devil`s Sinkhole State Natural Area,
  Devils River State Nat Area Big Satan, Devils Shores, Pafford
  Crossing, Rough Canyon Recreation Area and Spur 406 Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

  Southeastern Edwards County in south central Texas...
  Western Gillespie County in south central Texas...
  Kerr County in south central Texas...
  Real County in south central Texas...

* Until 200 PM CDT Thursday.

* At 755 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
  fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 4 inches in 1 hour.
  Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches are possible in the
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

  Medina, Kerrville, Leakey, Vanderpool, Ingram, Hunt, Camp Wood,
  Kerr Wildlife Management Area, Lost Maples State Natural Area,
  Mountain Home, Waltonia, Tuff, Rio Frio, Kerrville-Schreiner Park,
  Harper, Camp Verde, Vance, Tivydale, Barksdale and Doss.

FOR NORTHWESTERN EDWARDS AND EAST CENTRAL VAL VERDE COUNTIES...

At 634 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
         areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Loma Alta, Vinegarone and Devils River State Nat Area Del Norte.


Much of the run-off has made it`s way into larger creeks and streams,
meaning portions of the Devils River, West Nueces River, South Llano
River and their larger tributaries will make low water crossings
impassable for several hours with rapid rises that could be
life-threatening at downstream locations.

  Southern Sutton County in west central Texas...

* Until 915 AM CDT.

* At 615 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Junction, Mason, South Llano River State Park, Segovia, Telegraph,
  London, Roosevelt, Streeter, Hilda, Hedwigs Hill, Loyal Valley,
  Cleo,  and Us-377 Near The Kimble-Edwards County Line.

This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 415 and 477.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
US HWY 377 crossing South Llano River, Park Road 73 crossing South
Llano River, RM 385 crossing Perdenales River, RM 385 crossing Falls
Prong, US HWY 377 crossing 2 miles North of Telegraph, FM 2169
crossing Johnson Fork Creek, RM 2291 crossings along Bear Creek, CR
150 crossing South Llano River, FM 2169 crossing Johnson Fork Creek
and FM 2169 crossing Johnson Fork Creek.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
