156 PM CDT Thu Jun 12 2025
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Periods of showers and thunderstorms will continue through the
remainder of the day and into the overnight hours. Some of the
storms could be on the stronger side with gusty winds possible.
However, widespread severe weather is not expected at this time.
Some of the stronger storms could also produce locally heavy rain,
especially over the southern and southwest part of the area. With
the amount of rain already having falling on saturated ground,
isolated flooding is a concern.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected through the
weekend as a slow moving system moves through the area. Rainfall
totals will range from three to five inches for most of the state
with locally higher amounts of 5 to 7 inches possible over
portions of western and southwest Arkansas. Localized flooding can
not be discounted especially Thursday afternoon and Friday night
mainly over western and southwestern Arkansas. Hot and humid
conditions return to the state around the middle of next week with
heat indices over 100 possible.
.Spotter Information Statement...
Spotter activation will not be needed.
