Through 6 am, isolated showers and thunderstorms will wax and wane as
they move west at 15 to 20 knots through the western Straits of
Florida. Mariners encountering the stronger portions of this activity
in the distant Straits south of the Dry Tortugas can expect bouts of
moderate to heavy rainfall reducing visibilities, wind gusts up to
25 to 30 knots, and occasional lightning strikes.
