Through 3 am, scattered showers with embedded thunderstorms will
move northwest through the deep Gulf waters, and the distant Straits
west of the island chain. The stronger of the activity is capable of
heavy downpours reducing visbilities, wind gusts of near 25 knots,
and occasional lightning strikes.
