...EXTREME HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH LATE
MONDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Dangerously hot temperatures of 100-110 degrees are
possible. Very warm overnight temperatures of 65-70 degrees are
possible as well.
* WHERE...The Shasta, Scott and Klamath River Valleys in central and
western Siskiyou County. This includes the communities of Weed,
Yreka, Montague, Etna, Ft Jones, Happy Camp and Somes Bar.
* WHEN...From Sunday morning through late Monday night.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little
relief hot daytime temperatures.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

* WHERE...Portions of the Umpqua Basin in central Douglas County.
This includes the communities of Camas Valley, Elkton, Drain,
Sutherlin, Roseburg, Glendale, Riddle and Canyonville.
* WHEN...From Sunday morning through late Monday night.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat. Warm overnight temperatures will provide little
relief hot daytime temperatures.
