Increased fire weather concerns for today given warming
temperatures and breezy winds combined with low relative
humidities (20-35%). Fuels are not a major concern at this time.
However, conditions are such that some precautions with fire are
advised.

...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON...

West winds gusting to 25 to 35 mph, low relative humidity and
mild temperatures will result in elevated fire weather conditions
this afternoon.

Residents are urged to be careful with any activities that could
potentially lead to a wildland fire. Campfires, outdoor grills,
smoking materials, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have
the potential to throw a spark and ignite a wildfire.

...Elevated Fire Weather Conditions this Afternoon...

The combination of low relative humidity values, gusty westerly
winds, and dry fuels will result in elevated fire weather
conditions this afternoon across western and southwestern
Wisconsin. Afternoon relative humidity values fall to around 25
to 30 percent with winds of 10 to 20 mph, gusting to 25 to 30 mph.

Under these conditions, fires will start and spread easily.
Please exercise caution with any activities that involve outdoor
fires or create sparks, including campfires, grilling, and
operating large equipment. Cigarettes should be disposed of and
extinguished properly. Please heed any local burn bans.
