...EXTREME HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105
  to 110 possible. Additionally, overnight lows may reside in the
  mid to upper 70s at times, reducing ability to recover from
  daytime heat.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kansas and north central, northeast,
  and northwest Missouri.

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

* WHERE...Cloud, Republic, Washington, Brown, Jackson, Marshall, and
  Nemaha Counties.

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The watch could be upgraded and extended
  through next week if the forecast plays out as expected.
