Thunderstorms are expected for much of the area at times into
tonight. They may bring locally heavy rainfall leading to flash
flooding. Localized strong wind gusts are also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Thunderstorms are expected at times, especially during afternoon and
evening hours. These storms could bring locally heavy rainfall
leading to flash flooding. Localized strong wind gusts are also
possible.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected through this evening,
mainly in south-central Kentucky. Some of the storms could be strong
with gusty winds, torrential rainfall and intense cloud to ground
lightning. The heavy rainfall expected with these storms could lead
to isolated flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Rounds of thunderstorms will be possible Saturday through Tuesday.
Thunderstorms will be capable of producing torrential rainfall, gusty
winds, and lightning. Heavy rainfall rates may lead to localized
flash flooding.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Storms will move east at 15 to 20 mph.

Any users of this storm motion must be aware that thunderstorm activity
can be erratic and constantly evolving.  Please use this with caution
and be prepared for changing conditions.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest North
Carolina...east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Scattered to numerous storms are expected again this afternoon
and evening, with the best coverage expected to be north of
Interstate 40. Heavy downpours over already saturated ground and
repetitive rounds of rain over the same locations may lead to
flash flooding this afternoon and evening. A Flood Watch is in
effect for SW Virginia and many northern Tennessee Counties near
the Kentucky and Virginia borders through this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Daily chances for storms will continue into early next week, with
some storms capable of producing strong wind gusts and localized
flooding. Areas that have received excessive rainfall over the
past few days will continue to be at risk for flash flooding
through at least the weekend.

Heat index values will reach around or just over 100 across many
TN Valley locations through next week.

and evening. A couple storms may have gusty winds, heavy rainfall,
and frequent lightning.

Heat index values will range from 100 to 104 degrees across
portions of north and central Georgia this afternoon and early
evening.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected Saturday through Thursday,
mainly in the afternoons and evenings. The potential for organized
severe weather remains low, but heavy rainfall and localized
flooding will be possible.

Heat index values will range from 100 to 108 degrees, possibly
higher, across portions of north and central Georgia each day.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected today. All
storms will be capable of producing brief torrential rainfall and
lightning. Localized flash flooding is possible. A brief strong
storm with gusty winds cannot be ruled out.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for portions of southeast Missouri,
western Kentucky, and far southern Illinois. Peak heat indices of
105 to 109 are expected. Refer to the statement for more details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected through Tuesday.
All storms will be capable of producing brief torrential rainfall
and lightning. Localized flash flooding is possible.

A dangerous prolonged heatwave will build this weekend and
continue through most of next week. Daily heat indices of 105 to
115 are expected, potentially exceeding 120 by the middle of the
week.
