There is a risk of strong to severe thunderstorms tonight as a
complex of thunderstorms moves into northwest Oklahoma, and then
progresses east southeastward into northern and central Oklahoma
during the early morning hours. Damaging wind gusts and heavy
rainfall are the primary hazards.
.SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT STATEMENT...
Storm spotter groups and emergency management personnel across
should prepare for severe weather operations overnight into
Saturday morning.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday...
.Thunderstorms...
Thunderstorms will likely be ongoing across the area Saturday
morning, which may intensify as they move toward the Red River
late morning with a risk for severe weather.
There is a low probability for additional development Saturday
afternoon. However, if storms develop, they will have the risk to
be severe with large hail and damaging winds.
Thunderstorm chances will return on Tuesday and Wednesday,
including the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.
.DAY ONE...Overnight.
An isolated strong storm is possible during the predawn hours west
of Highway 16 and near the immediate Red River Valley. Gusty winds
and small hail would be the primary hazards.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
A complex of storms may cross the Red River early Saturday morning
with additional thunderstorm chances Saturday afternoon and evening
across most of North and Central Texas. Severe weather is possible
with the primary threats being large hail and damaging wind gusts.
Thunderstorms may linger across Northeast Texas into Sunday morning.
Low thunderstorm chances will continue Monday through early
Wednesday, primarily along and north of the I-20 corridor.
Hot and humid weather will prevail during the weekend. Heat index
values may approach 105 degrees Sunday afternoon. Heat advisory
criteria will likely be reached later in the upcoming week.

DISCUSSION...
A complex of storms will move into northeast Oklahoma late tonight
out of central Kansas. Damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall will
be possible with this activity as it moves to the east southeast
into Saturday morning.
Patchy fog is also likely to develop later tonight, especially in
areas that saw rainfall this evening. Use caution when
encountering fog while driving and prepare for rapidly changing
visibilities.

An area of thunderstorms is likely to be ongoing Saturday
morning with these storms spreading eastward through the day.
A window for severe weather is possible from late morning
through early evening with potential for ongoing storms
to intensify or for new storms to develop. Locations generally
along and south of Interstate 40 have the higher potential for
any severe storms on Saturday.
A cold front will pass on Sunday with additional thunderstorm
chances. The weather pattern becomes more unsettled across
the Southern Plains for next week. One or more days may experience
severe weather potential across portions of eastern Oklahoma
and northwest Arkansas.

Showers and thunderstorms will move into southeast Kansas and
western Missouri very late tonight into early Saturday morning.

Showers and storms will move across the region on Saturday and
again on Sunday bringing better chances for more widespread rain
to the area. Confidence is increasing for Sunday`s storms to be
severe with damaging winds the primary hazard.
Additional showers and storms will be possible during the middle
of next week.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Tonight
Scattered storms will affect parts of central and southern Kansas
tonight. A few strong to marginally severe storms will be possible
with dime to quarter size hail and wind gusts around 50. Locally
heavy rainfall will also be a concern which could cause some
flooding problems.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday
Storms will be possible Saturday and Saturday night, especially for
locations east of Interstate 135. Small hail and brief heavy rain
will be the main threats. Scattered storm chances will remain in
the forecast for Monday night through Wednesday with widespread
severe storms not expected.

Panhandles.

Thunderstorms are possible across much of the Oklahoma and Texas
Panhandles late this afternoon and tonight. A few storms may
become strong to severe, with large hail and damaging winds the
primary hazards. In addition, the strongest storms will be capable
of producing heavy rainfall, which will likely lead to flooding
or flash flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Thunderstorms will be possible across at least parts of the
Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles late Saturday afternoon through
Tuesday night. The probability of severe thunderstorms is low at
this time. However, any storms that develop during this time
period will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, which may
lead to flooding or flash flooding.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of west central
Texas.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across the Permian
Basin and Trans Pecos this afternoon and move into West Central
Texas this evening. Although widespread severe weather is not
expected, a few of them may become strong and produce hail and
gusty winds.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday
Storms are expected to redevelop across the eastern portions of
West Central Texas on Saturday. Some of these may reach severe
levels, mainly east of a Brownwood to Junction line. Large hail
and damaging winds will be the main concerns.
A hotter pattern will settle across West Central Texas this
weekend into next week, with temperatures climbing to near or
above the 100 degree mark. Use caution when planning outdoor
activities.

southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible
across the region this afternoon and evening. A few storms may be
capable of producing small hail and some strong wind gusts.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Higher chances for strong to severe thunderstorms return on Saturday
as a stronger disturbance moves through the region. Damaging winds
will be the greatest threat, but large hail can`t be ruled out. Heavy
rain from these thunderstorms can boost the potential for a flash
flooding threat through Saturday night. Another round of damaging
wind gusts will be possible on Sunday, as a cold front moves into
the region. Showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast for
portions of the region each of the following days until late next
week, along with some of the warmest temperatures of the year.
Afternoon highs could approach the mid to upper 90s by the middle of
next week.
