* WHERE...Mississippi River at Clarksville.
* WHEN...Until Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 27.2 feet, Silo Park just northwest of Clarksville off
Highway 79 begins flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 25.4 feet and rising.
- Recent Activity...The river rose above flood stage this morning,
June 13.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 25.6 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall tomorrow evening before rising again
to 27.0 feet early Wednesday afternoon. It will then fall below
flood stage early Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.

to lower Wabash River. The Wabash will continue to crest at Terre
Haute this weekend, with the crest reaching Riverton on Tuesday.
Flooding will end at Montezuma Monday...and at Riverton by the
middle of the week.

side. Hutson Creek begins to overflow from backwater. Old Darwin
Road and a few rural roads in eastern Clark and Crawford counties
in Illinois are impassable. Low agricultural land floods.

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.9
feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage late Wednesday evening.

* WHEN...Until late Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, Lowest river cabins across from the Wabash
Generating Station begin to flood. Flooding of agricultural land
along U.S. 63 north of Terre Haute, west bank of river and in
southwest Vigo County occurs. County roads flood in southwest Vigo
County. The wetland projects between U.S. 40 and I-70 begin to
slowly fill.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM EDT Saturday /10:30 AM CDT Saturday/ the stage
was 18.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Saturday /10:30 AM CDT Saturday/ was

rural roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up
Minnow Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in
Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in
Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most
makeshift levees.
