...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE WATERS...

  Coastal waters from Little Egg Inlet to Great Egg Inlet NJ out 20
  nm...
  Waters from Little Egg Inlet NJ to Great Egg Inlet NJ out 20 to 40
  nm from 20 to 40 NM...
  Waters from Manasquan Inlet NJ to Little Egg Inlet NJ out 20 to 40
  nm...

At 1257 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was
located 13 nm east of Atlantic City Reef, moving east at 35 knots.

The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.

Intense lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open
water, stay below deck if possible, and keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

  The Open Waters 20 to 40 NM southeast of Sandy Hook NJ to south of
Fire Island Inlet NY...
  Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 40 NM...

At 1235 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 22 nm southeast of Shark River
Reef to 27 nm south of Buoy 44017, moving east at 30 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Buoy 44017 and Buoy 44025.
