Eastern Monmouth-Atlantic Coastal Cape May-Coastal Atlantic-
Coastal Ocean-
830 PM EDT Fri Sep 29 2023

...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING...
...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.
For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up to one foot of inundation
above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and
  tidal waterways.

* WHERE...Eastern Monmouth, Atlantic Coastal Cape May, Coastal
  Atlantic and Coastal Ocean.

* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through Sunday evening.
For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 2 PM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...At this level, flooding begins on the most
vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along
inland tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are
possible. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Water levels will remain elevated into the
weekend, with minor or near minor tidal flooding possible with
the high tides through at least Saturday, and possibly into
  Sunday as well.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
