...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST SUNDAY...
...GALE WATCH IS CANCELLED...

* WHAT...Rough bar conditions expected. Seas 6 to 8 ft and south
  winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt expected. There is a
  30-40% chance for brief gale force wind gusts up to 35 kt early
  Sunday morning.

* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft,
  especially when operating near to, or attempting to cross, the
  Columbia River Bar.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...General seas 6 to 7 ft through Sunday
  morning. First ebb current of 2.73 kt at 1050 AM Saturday with
  seas to 8 ft. Second ebb current of 3.26 kt at 1051 PM Saturday
  with seas to 8 ft. Third ebb current of 3.19 kt at 1147 AM
  Sunday with seas to 8 ft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wave conditions are expected to
be hazardous to small craft in the vicinity of the Columbia River
Bar. Mariners are advised to obtain the latest bar conditions
from the United States Coast Guard before attempting to cross the
bar.

SUNDAY...

* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, seas 7 to 10 ft at 9
  seconds and south winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt.
  For the Gale Warning, seas 8 to 13 ft at 9 seconds and south
  winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt expected.

* WHERE...Coastal Waters from Cape Shoalwater to Florence out 60
  NM.

* WHEN...Small Craft Advisory, until 9 PM PST this evening. Gale
  Warning, from 9 PM this evening to 4 PM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
  capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

  Maximum ebb currents will occur around 1045 AM Saturday, 1045
  PM Saturday, and 1145 AM Sunday.

* WHERE...Grays Harbor Bar.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM PST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft
  especially when navigating in or near harbor entrances.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
and/or seas 10 feet or higher are expected to produce hazardous
wave conditions to small craft. Inexperienced mariners,
especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid
navigating in these conditions.

SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and
  steep seas 7 to 10 ft at 10 seconds through this evening.
  Tonight, south winds increasing to 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to
  45 kt and seas becoming very steep 11 to 15 ft at 8 seconds.

* WHERE...All southern Oregon coastal waters.

* WHEN...The Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 10 PM PST
  this evening, followed by a Gale Warning from 10 PM this
  evening to 7 PM PST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds and very steep seas could capsize or
  damage vessels. Low visibility conditions are expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid strong winds and very steep
seas. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or
secure the vessel for severe conditions.
