* WHAT...Rough bar conditions expected. Seas 9 to 11 ft at 15
  seconds and south winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt.

* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft,
  especially when operating near to, or attempting to cross, the
  Columbia River Bar.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ebb current of 3.95 kt at 1036 PM
  Wednesday. Seas 7 ft. Ebb current of 3.22 kt at 1133 AM
  Thursday. Seas 8 ft. Ebb current of 3.59 kt at 1141 PM Thursday.
  Seas 8 to 9 ft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wave conditions are expected to
be hazardous to small craft in the vicinity of the Columbia River
Bar. Mariners are advised to obtain the latest bar conditions
from the United States Coast Guard before attempting to cross the
bar.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
and/or seas 10 feet or higher are expected to produce hazardous
wave conditions to small craft. Inexperienced mariners,
especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid
navigating in these conditions.

* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, southeast winds 20 to 30 kt with
  gusts up to 45 kt and seas 14 to 18 ft at 15 seconds. For the
  Hazardous Seas Warning, very steep and hazardous seas 14 to 18
  ft at 15 seconds expected. For the Small Craft Advisory, south
  winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and seas 12 to 16 ft
  at 13 seconds expected.

* WHERE....For the Gale Warning. All areas south of Bandon. For
  the Hazardous Seas Warning. All areas north of Bandon. For the
  Small Craft Advisory. All areas.

* WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 4 PM PST Thursday. For the
  Hazardous Seas Warning, from 4 AM to 4 PM PST Thursday. For
  the Small Craft Advisory, from 4 PM Thursday to 4 AM PST
  Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds and very steep seas could capsize or
  damage vessels. Low visibility conditions are expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid strong winds and very steep
seas. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or
secure the vessel for severe conditions.
